Steve had his trip down to the gym this morning. It was great for him to just move and lay his eyes on something new.
Last night his temp was about 101. The problem with the fever and chills is that the nurses don't want for his fever to elevate, so sometimes we have to take the blankets off of him. Obviously, a hard thing to be willing to do given his discomfort, but necessary. And if they are really concerned about the temp, they have to actually put on the cooling blanket. So it's like you are fighting two contradicting battles. Luckily, he had some pain medication that I think allowed him to get some sleep last night.
The ID doctor ordered an echo cardiogram for today so that should be happening sometime soon. He just wants to make sure that all the valves around the heart are clear. He says that his heart sounds good, and he doesn’t suspect anything, but it's just another precautionary step to see if there is any bacteria that is being missed in the blood tests.
Steve looks good today. But like we've said earlier, he misses him friends. So let's try again to give him some insight into your day to day affairs. Thanks guys!
