Steve seemed to have a restful night. He didn't have a high fever, though this morning it did get to about 101.4 but it's been dropping steadily. He does not seem uncomfortable though. In fact, he seems really peaceful which is wonderful to see.
Steve and I got to talk a good deal this morning. He thanked me for coming. He's so sweet and still so big on thanking everyone.

Right now they are moving him into his chair. We are going to stroll back down to the gym (which really is just a short walk down the hall, but that's big since he's been so stationary.) For the first time, he will be using a portable vent that hooks onto the back of his chair.

They came in and did the echo cardiogram on him last night at about 6 PM. We don't have any results yet, but his nurse said that he didn't think they saw any bacteria.
