For the first time in seven days, Steve was up in the chair today--and for four hours! Awesome. His new feeding tube is working well, which is a relief. His temp was about 99 this evening, which we will take. If it stays there--great. Overall the weekend seems to be treating him much better than the week did.

Skylar, who is from a nearby town and was at Shepherd for some therapy, came by to see Steve yesterday. Skylar was in a car accident and broke his C5. He operates his wheelchair using sip and puff, and he recently got off his trach. MaryAnn said that he looks wonderful. Unfortunately, he stopped by at a bad time, so Steve wasn't able to see him, but the family definitely appreciated his visit.

Steve has Kris and Steve and April there with him as well as my parents. He's got a lot of love around him so hopefully that will keep him uplifted tonight.
