Joe just got home to Huntsville so that he can get renovations underway. He called so that I can relay a message from him and MaryAnn: They would love for Steve's friends to come to Atlanta to visit Steve. He needs you guys. Since he's on the second floor now, a group of you can visit with him in one of the gyms or possibly outside (not sure if he's clear for outside yet). It would be so good for him. Just please remember that everyone who comes needs to be in tip-top shape. Pneumonia is a serious concern for someone in Steve's condition so if you've got a throat tickle or a stuffy nose, we have to request you stay at home and sip your chicken soup. You need a clean bill of health before you can come.

Also, the noteworthy news for today is the Steve drove his wheelchair to the gym using the sip and puff technology. And he took himself back to his room too. Watch out Shepherd! Joe is picking up a new set of glasses for Steve which means that soon he will be able to start using eye recognition software to communicate.
