After the doctor examined Steve's airway today, it was determined that he needed to have surgery in order to move his trach down. He will be operated on early tomorrow morning. The doctor will also insert a stint into the airway to ensure that it stays open by keeping scar tissue from forming over it.

The good news is that when Steve's nurse came in to ask if he wanted to sit in the chair, Steve said, "Yes." He's eager to work hard whenever he can. Way to work Steve-o!
